MAGNETOMETERS

Magnetometers are scientific instruments used to measure the strength of three components of the Earth’s magnetic field.  The hardware used is based on the use of a 3-axis sensor flux gate. 

The network of magnetometers that is operating in IGP are located inside and outside the Peruvian territory whose stations located in the cities of Piura, Puerto Maldonado, Jicamarca Radio Observatory (Lima), Huancayo, Arequipa, Ica Leticia (Colombia), San Juan (Argentina), Tucumán (Argentina), Alta Floresta (Brazil), among others.
