“My experience in Peru was absolutely unforgettable. I learned an amazing amount about radar signal processing and plasma physics working at JRO. My project was very challenging but well worth the effort. I was only able to be in Peru for a month, and I regret that I did not stay longer because I was so productive at Jicamarca. Somehow I managed to find time to travel to other parts of Peru during my short stay. Parts of the country are absolutely magnificent. My host family was the epitome of hospitality and made me feel welcome despite my lack of Spanish skills. I would highly recommend this internship to anyone, especially someone interested in upper atmospheric science.”

“With my internship at JRO in 2008 I had one of my best experiences in my life. Although my field of studies, Mechatronics, seems to be very far from JRO research, I could accomplish successfully different interesting and challenging projects with the electronics and the signal processing group. The friendliness and gentleness of the staff made an integration in the institution very easy and my whole stay very pleasant. This program offered me an enormous experience in work, in acting with other cultures, and in widening my horizon by travelling through this wonderful country.”
