Documentary Photography Contest "Identity and History of ROJ"

GENERAL FRAMEWORK OF THE COMPETITION
To celebrate its 50 th anniversary, the Jicamarca Radio Observatory performs in its commemorative activities Photographic Documentary Competition: Identity and History of the ROJ.

PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION
Its purpose is to integrate all the national and international Jicamarquina Community remembering part of the history of 50 years.

OBJECTIVE
Narrating from an individual perspective of the history of the 50 Years of JRO using photos and their captions.

BASES
Participants: All employees and former employees of RED and the scientific community nationally and internationally in relation to the Radio Observatory.

REQUIREMENTS
Participants should download the registration form from the minisite ROJ 50 years and send the form along with photographs to the following address: jicamarca.50 @ jro.igp.gob.pe and the subject position: Competitive Identity and History of ROJ .
Registration is free.

THEME
The documentary should reflect the history of Jicamarca during his 50 years through one of two categories: Technological Development and Research (instruments)

Organizational culture (human relations)

PHOTOGRAPHS
By participant submit a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 photographs. The format of the photos must be digital, high quality jpg or tif. No less than 1200 pixels wide.

Color photos will be accepted and white / negro.El photographic documentary to be submitted with a title and a brief description of the chosen theme. Each photograph must have its legend no more than 3 lines.

PROPERTY RIGHTS
The award-winning photographs received will become part of the file where you recognize Jicamarca and make specific mention of credits for authorship of photographs in any publication, print and others.

The jury reserves the right to reject or exclude from the contest if the photographs submitted that they are not consistent with the proposed theme.

SELECTION
At the close of entries, the preliminary selection process will be in charge of 4 members, three related to Jicamarca and a professional photographer.
This jury will select a minimum of 5 documentary finalists for its artistic value, thematic and technical support. The finalist photos will be posted on the minisite ROJ 50 years so that the community can vote online Jicamarquina. Online voting score for the jury over the two documentaries will define winners (1st and 2nd place). In the event of a tie, the chairman of the jury will be decisive.

After selecting the winners, over Jicamarca minisitelos report results and date of the award.

Registration: September 15 to November 1
Preliminary selection: 3 to 10 November
Vote online: November 11 to 18
Final selection and publication of winning: 21 to 25 November

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
The simple fact of participating in this contest by sending the form implies knowledge and acceptance of partcipación conditions and bases. Any unforeseen situation will be resolved by the jury foreman and the organizers agreed. The decision is final.
